Title: Fed FCW and Jellyhead
Post by: Crockrj on February 03, 2013, 02:54:55 PM
Anybody have any experience with this combo? I've read about the sumtoy chokes but was curious about the Jellyhead. Also, I'm shooting a 20 Nova.
Thanks.

Nothing really worth writing home about . I like a non ported choke for any Fed FCW shell whether it be lead or HW.

I shot some Fed. HW 7s through one last year.  They shot OK but didn't impress me like my Carlson's .575 did.  What I did notice was that it really took some chunks off the wad, leaving pieces of it laying on the shooting bench with a few pieces even hitting my arm believe it or not.  My jelly head for my 835 on the other hand shoots them really well...who'd have thunk it?...

My Nova jellyhead combo with Fed 7's puts 144-160 in the 10" at 40yrds.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to try the JH (already purchased one for Hevi 13 7's) but I thinking about getting a Sumtoy for the Fed HW 7's.

Bet those are Fed HW FC #7s, a heck of a difference from Fed FC lead. :OGturkeyhead:
