I get out for some late season grouse hunting and occasionaly find some stuff in the woods.
This fall/winter I have found 4 dead deer 2 does and 2 bucks. I have to be clear on this I along with the dog have found these.
The smaller buck was found 30 feet off a mian trail on a Public hunting area.
The bigger buck was found about 200 yds from a parking lot on the same Public hunting area.

The whole bunch that have been recovered in the past few years.
I have all the racks in my garage.
I do wish I would see these boys during hunting season while I have the rifle in my hands.
Do they appear to have been shot and lost. We got a bunch at the farm that died from EHD.
As far as I could teel they were all shot, the small one was arrowed this fall.
They were all fat, no signs of distress that I could tell.
They were all frozen solid, except for the full skull one.
Thats a shame,but it happens.
Some good stock for public ground.
I just hope it was from natural causes...
Always cool finding antlers in the woods.

Wow. Looks like some people in your area need a little more shooting practice if this is the case. Sad but it happens......
