I have a Benelli M2 20 Ga. I want a red dot or a scope on it but its not drilled & tapped & I dont really want to have it drilled & tapped. Any suggestions or advice ?

I wasn't happy with a saddle-type mount on my SBE. I tried it for a few years and it damaged the finish of the gun. I didn't have any regrets removing it and having SBE drilled and tapped for a Trijicon Reflex. It's a dedicated turkey gun. If your M-2 has a vent rib, perhaps you could have an existing cantilever system modified and clamped to the rib. The best solution is drilled and tapped receiver, but for some reason you don't want it done.
I had my M2 drilled and tapped for a marlin 336 base for the burris fastfire sight and put a Docter sight on it and absolultly love it!! If you ever remove it all you need is 2 plug screws and its fixed..
Went with the Marlin 336 on my Nova and it works and looks great.
