I made a few clips outdoors from 30 to 50 yards away from my camera to get a better feel for how different calls sound to turkeys. I have always thought the best calls and callers made it difficult to identify the call type. A great call in a great caller's hands sounds more turkey and less like a box, pot, mouth call....etc. Mine are unfortunately still a little more easily identified. If you want some ideas of what not to sound like, take a listen to these clips and see if you can pick out the different call types. More importantly, I would like your opinion on which ones sound the most realistic. If none of them do I need to know that also so I can go back to square one.

I will post round two as I get them uploaded.
I think I can, for the most part. Ill take a gander
Most every type of call has some small nuiances that lend to their sound. Viewing the clips, here is what I think, and the sound that led me to my opinion
1. box.......the whiny front end and dragging whine of the yelp
2. Sounds like a push pin in the beginning due to the way it purrs and the puck, pucking sound of the yelp...but then late in the video yelps like a Kenny Morgan Friction wood. Then I think about it, and he used to send a corn cobb striker with the friction wood that could make those push pin sounding yelps......Im going with Friction wood.
3. mouth call......the way the yelp sounds
4. scratch box.....the purr and the yelp
5. box call again.....the yelp...again the front part of the yelp.
They all sounded good David, I like #2 and #5 the best
1)Box

Exactly what I heard too..
I hear
Box call, copper pot, Mouth call, scratch box, And I am going with aluminum pot.
Pretty tough and a good contest idea ;D
I'll go with
1. Box
2. Mouth
3. Mouth
4. Pot
5. Box
2 and 3 being the toughest for me to decide on. They all sounded like turkeys to me.

It was long box, 2 was frictionwood combo first used as pot and peg then scratch box, 3 was mouth call, 4 was scratch box and 5 was long box again.
