A buddy sent this wood to me a few weeks ago to build a call for him. It is Ipe aka Brazilian Walnut and this piece came off the boardwalk at Atlantic City. Beautiful Wood, real heavy and extremely hard.....makes a killer copper call. Also had a piece of Gaboon Ebony laying around in the shop so I made him a nice striker to match the call as well. Hope you like it WM.

Great work Ricky....
Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) is probably my favorite striker material. The wood is almost oil free and conditions well when used.
Nice work :icon_thumright:
Great looking call, and the striker is...well, striking.
:icon_thumright:
Very nice!!
Like all the calls you make Ricky, that one is stunning! :icon_thumright:
How does that wood compare to bloodwood for the pot?
Did you happen to record the call in operation?

I did not record it but it is very close to the bloodwoods sound, little higher front end that breaks over into a good raspy bottom end.
Very nice work.
 sweet!!
Nice work! I like the history on that wood being from Atlantic City boardwalk.
Great job!
