Title: 1 or 2 hen dekes?
Post by: barry on June 12, 2012, 01:17:19 PM
Seen a lot of discussion on dekes here to start this off-season so I'll pose another question.
Do you prefer 1 or 2 hen dekes in your setup.
For many years now I've went with 2 hens and either a strutter (B-Mobile or Prettyboy), a jake or just a plain tailfan on an arrow shaft.
Assuming gobblers in an area have a pecking order, I was just wondering if having 1 or 2 hen dekes (or more) set out makes a difference?
Maybe a wary gobbler will try to slip in and take a hen if there's more than one???

I dunno...but maybe a nerdy gobbler will think his chance of scoring is better if he has a choice and picks the ugly one.   ;)
