Found a Preston Pittman choke for the 835 guy says its the same as a star dot. Is anyone familiar with this choke
Yes, I like them. They work well in my gun with Hevi or lead. Usually they are .676 constriction with some being .68something.
If it's a .676, snag it.
I had one and it shot great with federal flight controls out of my 835 sold to a guy on here.
I have one thats .676, averages 230 in a 10" circle using h-13, 3.5", 2.25oz., #6's, with an 835, 20" barrel. With a best of 248.
40yrds, above load, 835 20".

It doesn't say on the package what constriction it is. The end of the tube mics at .680

I will be trying that same combo I went ahead and ordered it.
The choke came in today. On the package it says not for steel does that mean I cannot shoot heavy through it.
You can shoot Hevi-Shot through it.
Yes, you can shoot the Hevi's thru it. No steel shot.
Thanks I will be trying it out this weekend.
good luck
they "should" be the same choke as the star dot everyone raves about. Dang good choke for the price if you can find it at a store and not have to buy online second hand. Still a dang turkey killing combo though.
