After harvesting my bird on Monday evening, I had some time yesterday after work to make a few things with/from various parts of the bird, and get them finished up tonight. All are for my "man cave", and I'm going to make some sort of display for the whole deal, just not sure what/how yet. I've got a few ideas, involving barn wood, rough cut pine boards, or a slice of a tree trunk from where the bird was killed. I'll post up pics when I get around to putting it all together. But for now, here are the pieces. The tail fan(back drop),two wing bone yelpers(left and right wing), Euro mount of the skull, spurs cleaned and whitened, the beard, and a winchester ER #6 pellet that I dug out of his medulla oblongata when I was making the Euro mount. ;)

And a black and white version, just becasue I thought it looked cool.

Nice! I did something similar with a couple of my mom's birds here: http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,25681.0.html (http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,25681.0.html)
My original idea included the full leg bones (instead of just the last section) and wing bones either capped-out and dried/tanned or just the bones with the outside tip feathers. Unfortunately, she didn't save the wings and had already cut the feet off. I'll have to try the full version next time . . .
