Title: Turkey fights pant leg
Post by: TRKYHTR on May 11, 2012, 07:24:03 PM
I went out back to try and get some video of Buddy spitting and drumming. I even took out both of my decoys. He could have cared less about the decoys and all he wanted to do was kick the crap out of me. He kept trying to jump on me and I kept him away with my hand and that just made him madder. Finally he charged in and grabbed ahold of my pant leg and would not let go. It looks like I am twisting him from side to side but it was all him. He thought he was in a fight and he wasn't letting go. I finally tapped him on the chest and he let. go. I was rather entertaining. The good part is I had the camera on the whole time.

If he would have had skin, you would not be laughing.  Why are all his breast feathers missing?  (breeding)

Hey Joe, you want to know what is funny is I was thinking about Buddy about 10 minutes ago trying to mimic that fighting purr. He is a mess. You gonna have your hands full when those spurs get longer.

He rubs them off on the fence, back and forth trying to get at me.

Great Video Joe!!

I believe I enjoyed listening to your infectious laugh, and the Joy it conveys, as much as watching Buddy's persistence.

God Bless,

Good stuff.

Joe im curious how long have you had the birds.

Just wondering if they live very long. I rarely see any tame birds that are anything other than jakes.

Ok, thanks.

I will have some, Just have to get some other things done around the house.

Odd, I do believe I said this last year when you mentioned the eggs. LOL

Seems my list never gets shorter, especially during march-may.

Anyway, very entertaining birds you have.
