Hey guys! Just registered and this is my first post. Been hunting deer for years, but never turkey...my brother who lives in the low-country (Estill) keep telling me, "you've got to come turkey hunting...you'll be hooked." Well, I have no desire to go sit for hours in a deer stand anymore...went for my first hunt and got my first bird a few weeks ago...
19 lbs., 9 1/2" beard, 1 1/2" spurs...at 55 yards. Worst part, this was the end of the season and I've got to wait another year to get out again!!! Hopefully, participating on the forum will help pass the time! Here's a couple pics...
First, the money shot.
Second, me standing on my shooting position and my brother waaaay off in the distance in the curve of the dirt road standing by the bird.
Thanks for looking, and looking forward to the forum.
Greg

Heck of a shot. What choke and load? Just as a heads up to a new member, the moderators do not allow talk of shots over 40 yards. Congrats either way and welcome to Old Gobbler. :welcomeOG:
