And another Pa public land gobbler took a dirt nap. I left camp at 5am, which is too late to suit me, and was heading to a spot I got into one on Monday morning. I came around the turn and someone beat me to my spot. Sooooo I left there and headed to another spot I got into one the first week. By the time I got there it was already daylight so I got my stuff on and headed up the mountain. When I got to where I wanted to go along the edge of a logging road, I left out a few yelps on my mouthcall and one answered right away above me in the clearcut. I got set up and called again and he fired right back. I waited a few minutes then called again and he fired back. So I just sat there and waited. Soon out popped a gobbler on the logging road about 50 yards away. I yelped ever so softly and he was coming down to me. Then all of a sudden two more gobblers came out to the logging road!! There was 3 of them together. The first one got behind a tree that was only 15 yards away and when he stepped out I give it to him and darn near tore his head off.
I cloned some of the head that was just hanging there to protect the squimish
