Well, the three of us got back after these Huntingdon county birds again. Didn't take long to get on the action. We watched two longbeards head to roost last night in two different spots, and we knew right where they'd be in the morning. Al decided to get after the bird on our farm, and me and Jake went after bird #2 a few miles away. Long story short, Al smoked his at 6:45.Came in on a string. Jake and I had the second bird all fired up, thought it was gonna happen, till he faded away and met up with some hens. We'll try him from a new angle tomorrow. Here is Al's bird. Roosted and roasted!
19 1/2 lbs. 9 1/2" beard 7/8" spurs
