I was in Texas for fire dept training and broke my foot. I am going to be in this boot for a month and then we shall see. My buddy is going to do all the leg work for me Wednesday and I will try to tag out. Good luck to all. Crutches are not my favorite. (http://img.tapatalk.com/3f8d42d2-a2d3-f717.jpg)

:anim_25: and a fast get well.
If you get one to come in close enough you could always womp him with your crutches......hoping for a speedy recovery, especially with your line of work. :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an
That stinks. Maybe your buddy can drop you off in the woods well before light and go park the truck. I say get out there, crutches and boot or not!! :fud:
You got to love the boot, my wife just got out of one after 6 months, now whe is in a lace up brace like a snake boot that fits in a shoe, just get him to put you in a blind with plenty of pain meds and cold beer and just wait em out
Man that stinks about your foot. Good luck with the rest of your season and hope you have a speedy recovery!
The broken foot is a bummer.
While it may slow down my turkey hunting...it wouldn't stop me! Go get 'em. You may just have to call 'em further.... :you_rock:
do what you can, since it was part of the Fire Dept training I would talk to the powers that bee and see about a med evac into the turkey hunting woods.

My thought exactly. Good luck on a speedy recovery.
I like the way y'all think! Thanks for the words of encouragement. I plan to get after them this coming week.

A word of advice on that boot, although they do help you to get around some be careful, they can throw your hips out of alinement. It happened to me a few years ago.
Wow, that sucks man. I can actually kind of feel for you because a couple seasons back my dad did the same thing. He was more concerned about whether he'd be on his feet in time to hunt than what was actually wrong with his foot. He ended up doing a lot of blind hunting that year. Good luck though, hope you don't get slowed down too much!

That's the spirit!
I have a buddy who has mobility problems from a broken neck years ago. He's proven it, with a buddy to drop you off, you can kill birds with very little walking. Good luck! :icon_thumright:
I hope you heal real fast.
