It's been a WARM pre season here in Missouri. Seems as tho the boys are finished. Any suggestions? Gonna try some public land that has been fruitful...
My buddies in the southern part of the state where I hunt tells me they are tearing it up. Starting to gobble more on the ground, and beginning to work better.
I went through Missouri last year on our way to Kansas, and said Iam comming back to Missouri someday, although we hunted Public land in Kansas, I am going to try and get hooked up and Hunt private land in Missouri? That is My dream. Because when we hunted Public land in Kansas was a Nightmere, and I almost Got shot, by a hunter who thought I was a Turkey, I ripped his , and If it was'nt for My friends with Me I might of Kicked His .

I live in southern mo and it has been a tough season for me. We have mostly three and four year old toms and a lot of jakes this year and they just are working like normal. I have been on birds gobbling on their own at 11 am and you make one call and they shut up. Normally a tom setting the woods afire this time of day will run you over after making a call. But hens and older birds are making it tougher than usual. With the number of jakes I'm seeing and the hopes of another good hatch this year the next couple years will be dynamite!!
You just have to try harder.... more running and gunning.... I would try more yelping and cutting, try to call the boys in....
Absolute silence! Hunted known areas...
