Title: Snow gobbler down
Post by: earlybird on April 23, 2012, 12:10:19 PM
Got my 1st WV bird of the year this morning in a downright blizzard.Called in 3 hens and 9 jakes then about 5 min later i looked out about 100yds and here comes the longbeard trying to catch up with the rest of them.He would'nt stop when i wanted him too and was about 15yds when i shot him on the run.He had a thick 9" beard but only 5/8" spurs.

nothing quite like watching one come in with snow on the ground. I love seeing wing marks in the snow where they have been strutting. Congrats
