Post by: rcpigg65 on April 22, 2012, 10:43:47 PM
any one use the tight wad with a nova ? been using a pure gold 570 and local walmart had the tight wad for around 20 bucks so bought it just to try . the pure gold does ok with hevi 6 or 7 so thought i would start with that and also try winchester lead 6's .

I don't know about in the nova, but I have one that shoots low-mid 140's out of an 870 with the FedHW 7's. I know that doesn't help you out much, but  it's worth a try for $20.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the rem choke TW is a .570. I really didn't expect much out of it, it really surprised me. Highest I got was around 155, lowest was low 130's. I've shot quite a few rounds through it with an average in the low 140's. I've since switched to TSS, but that was a great investment for $20.

Indian Creek .555 and Nitro 7s = 174 in the 10 inch.
