I told you about the 2 longbeards running from my strutter on Tuesday...well today was not much better.
Here's the story short & sweet...or should I say short & bitter!
Got set up mid morning, made a few calls and it wasn't long a turkey gobbled a good ways off. I waited a bit and called again he gobbled closer. It wasn't long he was right on the edge of the field I was set up on. I figured I'd give him a few yelps and just wait. WELL, before I made a call here comes a helicopter flying so low I could have peppered it with my Xtended Range 6's and he flew DIRECTLY OVER the turkey!!! Next time the bird gobbles he's about 300 yards off and going away. :(
What are the odds of that happening???
SHOULD'VE TOLD THEM THEY WERE NUMBER 1
THATS SOME BAD LUCK

Pretty good when turkey hunting.
At least you know you have one willing to play and he's not really spooked. His days are probably numbered. Good luck!
