Well i was taught a leasson the first 2 days of the season and today they slipped up and did the same thing. I snuck in early and ended up being only 60 yards from 2 longbeards on the roost. The first bird gobbled at 5:58, after a few soft clucks on the trumpet and a fly down both birds knew right where i was. While the gobbler who started the morning off kept gobbling his buddy hit the ground about 40 yards in front of me and walked to 30 yards and thats all she wrote. First gobble at 5:58, bird dead at 6:18. As i ran to get this bird his buddy was still in the tree.

the loss of feathers on the neck is from him flopping down a hill the size of mt everest and bouncing off every tree on the way down hahaha
