Title: No Rain in SD.....till opening day
Post by: BHhunter on April 14, 2012, 06:40:47 PM
I jinxed it, made a post about how dry we have been, burn bans, be careful with fire ect. Today is opening day and it started raining before daylight and has been raining since. I don't mind rain, and I don't mind cold, but rain and 39 degrees made for a miserable morning. To top it off, five different set ups and all went off with hens. A couple were gobbles close enough I could feel the vibration, but just over the crest of a hill and would not come over to meet some Hevi-13's. Then got chilled to the bone and packed it in.

Meant to post this in General, since it's not really a tip. Don't know how to move it though if I can.

That just means they will be there to hunt another day.  Better luck with the weather.
