i live in PA and this is the first year that i can hunt with the new law that you can hunt all day as opposed to packing it in at noon. what are some good afternoon/evening strategies? will gobblers go to fields to feed after a long day of chasing hens? or do they pretty much have tail on their minds all day? Also, i was thinking a decent strategy would be to set up where they had roosted in the morning and perhaps catch one on his way back to bed. thoughts? advice? its all very appreciated.
Afternoon: look for dusting areas and food plots. Evening: Ambush areas between food plots/dusting areas and roosting locations. Don't hen call very much. I have called them in with a shaker in the afternoon. :anim_25:
