Alright guys I have read a bunch about the hevi shot and Winchester X-range shells. The only Hevi shot I can find around here is the magnum blend. Has anyone had any experience with these shells? I just recently put the kicks choke on my gun and I want to figure out the best combo without having to break the bank. Any suggestions?
Mine in same combo you have loves the win hv #5's 3.5 2oz load. But I ordered a pure gold for it and two boxes of hevi 13 in 3.5 2.25oz in 6's. Im just waiting for warm weather to shoot it with that
The blends will work, but they aren't putting up the numbers that most are wanting from a Hev-13 load. But having said that they will work and work quite well. I like using the straight 7's. They just seem to pattern very well in most guns and they give you added shot density that will still kill very easily out past 50yds.

I shot some Mag Blend out of my 835 yesterday. I got 204 hits in 10 inch circle @ 40 yards. I'm using a Star Dot choke.
