Title: H & R 12 gauge handle rifle
Post by: longbeards21 on February 24, 2011, 03:12:59 PM
Bass Pro has got the H & R single shot 12 gauge handi rifle, 24" barrel, chambered for a 3" on sale for $169 and I am thinking about getting it .

Does anyone have this gun and if so, what shell are you getting the best pattern out of it and whats the pattern look like?

It's not threaded . It's a full . It's chambered for a 3.5 actually

I have an NEF 12ga w/ fixed full choke, that I shoot the 3" federal turkey loads with the flite-control wad in.  It is very effective ;)  Check out graybeard outdoors for more info on the nef / H&R shotguns and what you can do with them.

i swear by the h&r nef guns, the only non h&r nef shotgun and rifle i have is my 870 for turkey hunting

i would take a look at either the federal flite control hvywt 7's or the hevi 13 7's both of those shells should give you turkey killing patterns
