Title: Hevi-13 this year vs last year
Post by: cannonball on March 22, 2012, 09:36:17 PM
Went and patterened the Remington today to make sure I was ready for opening day next weekend. I shot one of lot #300487 that I bought in early 2011, and one of lot number 380754 that came in off backorder from MPW two weeks ago. These are 3.5 inch #7's. The gun is a 870SM with a 23" barrel, choke is a Jellyhead .665. Distance was a tape measured 40 yards. Looks like the new lot number I just got is shooting better than last year's load.

2011 Lot 300487, 229 in a 10"

That 2nd one is a dandy, 20" looks like it is very even and dense.

Good stuff cannonball, getting 270's with same gun as you, only with a .660 jellyhead

I thought about getting a .660 to try. Do you have any pics of your pattern?
