Title: Polished my rocket, ready to test fire.
Post by: HogBiologist on February 23, 2011, 08:29:39 PM
Got out this afternoon to polish my 870.  Using my Red Neck Enginering I was able to swip the scour pad off an old sponge.  Man th eplastic that pad got out of the barrel.  I never got out that muck using the old 0000 steel wool.  Since I polish every year, it didnt take to long.  Now it has a mirror shine.  I did learn an important lesson.  Gun scrubber will wash the paint off a metal porch table.  Lucky I had some flat black heat resistant spray paint.  Now you can not tell I made a boo boo.  Next up is my 20 gauge.  Not shooting turkeys with it, but i just want to give it a good all over.   Wife should be getting her bow saturday.  Then it is off to the range at Bodcau WMA.  They have a gun Range and a bow range.  I will get to pattern my gun this year, let the wife play with her new toy, and I got her convinced to shoot my .22.  She has never shot a gun.  Cannot wait.
