I just wanted to share some pattern testing results I did with the Rhino Choke Tube. This choke tube has never let me down, it also produces excellent results with 3 " Remington # 5 Hevi Shot.
That will work!
Dead on arrival ice tight pattern!!
:OGani:
Man, that's a great lead pattern!! That'll kill.
That will do.

Well it looks like you put around 200 pellets or about 80% of the load in a 10" circle @ 40yds, that should be a new world record for 1 3/4oz lead 6's, maybe you should start shooting some competitions with that setup, you could win a lot of money.
saw that 188 on the target , figured that to be just the head and neck of the turkey .

Lethal pattern!
Rhino makes a great choke (in my book) but the owner is a little hard to take (also in my book).
Thats one heck of a lead pattern! Are you sure thats 40 yards though? Never shot/seen any lead pattern come close to that.
Great pattern, but I'd measure the distance again and try a few more to check consistency. Rhino chokes do really well with lead. I shot some of the referenced shells in a Rhino 660 just the other day and they barely broke 100, but gave a nice even pattern. It's also about the only choke I've seen shoot the Remington lead shells worth a hoot. They actually outperformed the wins(never thought I'd make that comment).
The Rhino 660 in my 870SM with 25" bbl shoots my lead handloads very well. Good chokes for sure.
Not real up on my Winchester ammo....is this their Supreme Elite, Supreme, or SuperX?
DRT!!!
All - I have the 11-87 with the old bottomland camo 21" barrel and they are the Winchester Supreme Loads. When I was at the range with my buddy who I have been doing this for years with he said to me I thought you shot twice at the target.
The yardage is the same 40 yards we have been shooting at for years. I also shoot the old remington hevi shot #5 and the pattern is just as lethal with that load as well.
It's good to read that everyone on this board is receptive and honest with there comments. I have also seen other excellent patterns with fantastic results.
If anyone knows someone who has given up on turkey hunting and has as any Remington Hevi Shot Size # 5 3 Inch Magnum they would like to sell please let me know.
:thanks:
Looks good!
Very impressive for lead. That dog will hunt. No reason to shoot the HTL with that pattern. :z-winnersmiley:
Nice pattern! No need for HTL!

My 1187 with those shells (26" polished) ???
SSX .643 92/10
Ventilator .655 99/10
JH .660 88/10
IC BDS .665 102/10
His numbers are abnormally high. For the record, I also shoot a rhino .660 out of an 870sm w/ 23" bbl...
