Title: Another strutter question!
Post by: Trevor2 on March 16, 2012, 03:25:31 PM
Ok I have never hunted with a strutter deke before and I got the 1/4 strut jake now. Do you position him facing you, directly away from your or where. I normally face my dekes towards me but just curious on the strutter.

Myself, I always try and face the male towards me but Im not sure if it really matters though. From my experience they seem to move to the head but end up moving around it like they are sizing their foe up. I generally have been given a decent shot at harvesting the bird if they commit to it.
