A solid walnut long box with a purpleheart paddle. Both the box and the paddle have an imperfection. There is a small blowout of the back side of the paddle at the screw hole (see pic). The box has a beautiful knot on the right side which deadens the sound from that side. I personally only use the left side of a long box, so hoping some of you do the same.
