i have inherited a browning citori 3.5'' 26'' barrel with factory mobu duratouch. never shot it until yesterday. so at 30yds. with a flush full choke and 3.5'' xx win. #6 i checked her out . shot 3 times out of each barrel and windage is right on but elevation was 12- 16'' high and this was disapointing. it was a great pattern being nice and even though. i have ordered some chokes to experiment with and maybe this will help my poi. i like to run a bead on my turkey rigs and dont want to go with sights or red dots . anyone have any solutions, thoughts, ideas on this? i was hoping this gun would shoot true as i always wanted to make a turkey rig out of it.definetly going to install limbsaver pad b\f shooting again.
thanks,swampfox
I have shot a citori satin hunter 3.5" with 28" brl for about 12 years at turkeys. Mine shot high just like yours. I put sights on mine and it still shot high so I just aimed at the base of the beard. It killed several turkeys with the gun. It also shot great patterns with winchester 2 1/4oz #5 lead and federal HW #7.
I used a Mod. choke in top brl with a 3.5" handload of #7.5 lead for the close turkeys.

thanks for reply 224th. good old kentucky windage. what are some chokes your gun liked for longe range barrel?
also, thanks for reply johndoe. what did u end up doing with cynergies? do u think a competant gunsmith can correct this and would it be worth it if so?
Put a taller bead on the front sight or if you have a slip on front sight you can put a piece of plastic or whatever under the clip and adjust until you get it right.
This may also be a length of stock /comb ht adjustment but get a taller front sight first.
thanks raj!
My gun shot a CHEAP $18 choke from walmart that is an "indian" something. It is an extended nonported choke that is .665.
On the sights I tried 3 different sets of adjustable sights and it still shot high with them adjusted all the way. That is why I aimed at the base of the beard.
thanks
