i know that this has been discussed 10000 times but 1  more time. what are the advantages and dis advantages of lengthening it. opinions.

Advantage...better patterns, less recoil.
disadvantage.... if done improperly worse patterns.

x2---had it done to my gun and it really helped , better patterns and more of a push than a kick? sbe1.

Had it done on both of my 870s .  It realy helped both the patern and theI recoil.  Trick to having it done right is to use a reputable gunsmith that specializes in shotguns.  I can recomend Skeets in Talaquaha OK.

Had Sumtoy work on mine.  William was getting in the low 280's with hevi 3-2-7's last year.

Truth be told......I haven't shot it yet.  But i will be this weekend, at least that is the plan.  I don't have any 3-2-7's, but I do have some Mag-Blends that I'm going to try, along with my new handloads.

Can't really say what it did prior, since i never shot the 3-2-7's.  Could never find them around here without ordering them.
