My new 835 turkey thug came in today. The camo is amazing on this gun. I am a little scared to shoot the thing because it is extremely light weight . This gun has an amazing triger for a shotgun. I think that this short barrel light weight gun will be awsome for hunting. I am going to the patterning board on saturday whth the hevishot choke and the mag blends. I hope that it shoots as good as it looks.
good luck and oh yeah HOLD ON
Yup..nice little gun. I have one and love it. Throws great patterns, right on up there with the longer bbl guns. Hold on tight!, and b more careful if u put on a pistol grip stock....
Put a Limbsaver on the back end and she'll shoot like a 20 guage. I shoot an 835 with 3 1/2's and the Limbsaver is just that, " A LIMB SAVER!" Adjust the trigger to 3 lbs and you'll have a turkey slayer.

What combo do you use?
Well, I've shot a few different ones. Mostly have been with hevi 13 7s and nitro h51013a 4,5,7. The hevi 13 7s have consistently given 300+ in a 10" circle at 40 and around 540+ in the 20". The nitros have varied some but always deliver great consistent killing patterns. Those were shot with a matched Sumtoy choke. It also did well with the nitro 517 loads through a rhino choke. The star dot and hevi 13 7s was also a super combo.
I will be setting it up tomorrow at the Sumtoy shop. Going with the 7s and later when the nitros arrive I will try them as well as the old federal fc 6s. I have really high hopes on the lead loads....
I will be reporting in on results with my gun soon, post yours too
Those 835's THUMP on both ends !
They can sure throw some good patterns with a combo that it likes though :)
