Anyone pattern an 835 with the Winchester loads? What types of chokes?
My buddies unpolished 24" 835 shot in the 190's (#6 shot) with a jelly head.
My 20" shot poorly (119) with a pure gold choke. I do recall getting in the 130's last year from a bench and better weather though.

IC .675 High 170's same rig with the Hevi 13 2.25 6's 200 + all day.
Thanks for the reply fellas, I currently have 4 boxes of H13 3.5 2 1/4 #7 but looking for an alternative for price reasons.
I run the Win XR 3.5 #6's thru my Indian Creek .675. The numbers are lower than Hevi shot produces but patterns are more consistent and even with Win XR.
I just shot my new set up, I got a 835 24" with a PG .670 and I picked up a box of 3.5-2-6 xtended range and I have not polished the barrel yet and I did 3 shots to get an average and the first shot was 185 and I did not have anything to run through the barrel between shots but the second and third shots were 181, 183.. I think with the price of the h13 loads I am gonna switch back to the xtended range because these are alot more consistant and even pattern!
20" barrel got me 147 with a PG .670. I'd like to try a .675 but haven't decided on an IC or SumToy
had a 24" bbl. 835 with a kicks .680 and the 3.5 xr 6's would shoot consistantly 220-230 and very even patterns too.

I like that kind of consistency, I wouldn't change a thing :icon_thumright:
