Hi folks. My name's Ed and I joined the forum about 2 weeks ago. I have enjoyed deer hunting for more than 30 years. Last year I attended a Baptist church in New Woodstock, NY and the speaker was a turkey call maker from Ohio. He got me interested in turkey hunting and I started last spring. I didn't get anything last May, but I was hooked! I shot my first gobbler this past fall on October 9th and he weighed 20 lbs and had a 10" beard. Can't wait until this season starts. I'm driving my wife nuts practicing with the turkey calls in the house.

Just wanted to say THANKS for all the warm welcomes since I last checked the post. I can't wait til the season starts in a couple of weeks! There's a 14 year old boy from church that's been wanting to go turkey hunting for several years, but his dad isn't interested. We've got an early youth hunt so I'm going to take him and do the calling for him. I was checking out my property today and there are turkey droppings EVERYWHERE! They had a very easy winter here this year, so it should be good! :thanks:
