Title: Deep cleaning chrome barrels?
Post by: Longshanks on February 25, 2012, 10:19:28 PM
Have a number of berettas with chrome lined barrels. Have never deep cleaned them with brass/ bronze brush. Is this ok? Deep cleaning my 870's has made a tremendous difference. Hoping I can use this process on the xtrema 2 and urika 2.

I do the same with my chrome lined barrels as I do my Brownings and Remingtons but I don't see much difference. I do believe in cleaning them though.

I deep cleaned my SBEII barrel per Clark Bush's process and it definitely made a difference.

Berettas are actually easier to deep clean than guns having barrels that aren't chrome lined. The bore will look like a mirror. All of mine have been deep cleaned a few times.

Deep cleaned the xtrema 2 and although I use a tico tool on it everytime I shoot it..Clark's deep cleaning process got a good bit of junk out of the barrel. Looking forward to shooting it to see if the numbers come up.  :thanks:
