Which decoy is usually more effective? A strutting jake or non strutting jake?

a jake mobile with a real fan is the only decoy that I use that has consistent success.  I really only use it during the early season, especially when I bowhunt.  After that, I go decoy-less.

I have always used a strutting jake and had great success. They can be a pain to carry so this will be the first time I will be using a non strutting jake as well.

I used a strutting jake 2 times, 2 years ago, when I knew there was a big boss in the area.  Both times I had a satellite gobbler, 2 yr old, come in.  1st time was a youth hunt and the turkey wouldn't even come in.  Second time took me an hour of clucking and purring to get him just to 38 yds.  I had used the jake again in SD, and no fan at all, had great success.  5 jakes and strutter came right in.

So, non strutter for me!!

Goin to try a half stutting jake. Not much success with full strut ones.
