Title: Mossberg 835 Tactical Turkey (Looking for new Glass)
Post by: OtsdawaRidgeRunner on February 17, 2012, 07:15:18 PM
Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to ask everyone's opinion on getting a new scope or red dot for my 835 tactical turkey.  I'm taking off the Tru-Glo Rut and Strut scope and its going on my sons Mossberg Super Bantam 20 gauge this year and I cant decide what to put on mine.  I'm sure most of y'all know that this gun has a 20" barrel and has a ton of recoil.  Will the red dots such as the tru glo gobble stopper or others hold up to the recoil or should I put another recticle scope on her?  I'd like to hear some ideas on what I could throw on there.

Mack

Imo get the burris fast fire with the 336 mount.  The sight will mount very low and should compliment the tactical style well.

Check out the Mueller Quick Shot, it's a open red dot. Do a search here on Old Gobbler and go to their website. I have one on a 935 and an 870 20 gauge with hundreds of shots through both guns with no problems.

As far as tube scopes go, I would go with a Bushnell Trophy.
If I were looking into red dot reflex style sights, I would go with a Burris FFII, or III, or if those are out of your price range, go with the Mueller Quick Shot.
