I have always been told that Pink Ivory is the wood for Copper calls. Because of the price, I haven't ever tried it. I had this piece for the last year and thought the other day about making it into something. I ended up deciding on Copper.

3" surface with an Ironwood striker. Good rasp, not overly high pitch, but what I would consider medium-high to high and pretty easy to run. $75.00
