Post by: Seth B on February 03, 2012, 10:22:28 PM
I'm thinking about buying a FFII. I keep hearing 'bout the FFIII.  And maybie a group buy?
I'm ready to buy the II should I wait for the III? When does the III come out and whats the price?

Last update said not out until March/April and price looks to be $250.  I think you should wait, the changes made, only make this site much better!!!!!

I agree with Sugarray although I wouldn't be surprised to see them available by then end of February.

I, too, have a FFII and was going to purchase another, but am going to wait for the FFIII because of the placement  of the battery for easy replacement and not having to remove/remount the unit.  John

FF2 had a poor design in vertical/horizontal adjustments,  battery change difficulty, and even worse on/off switch.
I crawled up and worked my way into position on a pair of OK Strutters only to have sand packed into the on/off switch.  Cost me a nice gobbler.
I sold that thing!  Seems like new FF3 is way better and may have become A great sight!

I agree with you, Sugaray.   I turn my sight on when I start hunting for the day and never turn it off till I am done.  It uses so little battery power one does not need to worry about a battery going dead for a long time.  John

First day to use sight!  LOL. live and. learn.  But the little tiny in/off switch was terrible.  Small amount of grit/sand in it and it is over.
