Plain is just like it sounds- plain, shiny aluminium.
Anodized aluminium is covered by a protective oxide layer that is dyed in black, green, or some other color.
Powder blasting just gives the surface texture so that it is not slick.
Aluminium that is both powder blasted and anodized makes a killer surface for a turkey call.
