Title: Busting up a group of turkeys?

Been reading the Tenth Legion and taking notes on busting up turkeys in the fall. Has anyone ever done this or is he playing a joke on me?

It's real.  Busting them up and then calling one in as they regroup is a popular fall method of hunting turkeys.
