Title: Clean your forearm well!!!
Post by: sugarray on January 09, 2012, 09:44:59 PM
So I disassembled my 835 for my winter cleaning and noted rust on my forearm metal piece.  I suppose b/c I don't disassemble it during the season.  I don't until after deer season when I clean all my guns, due to fall turkey too.  So just check it and oil it well!!!

Good advice.

By the end of deer and turkey season my guns are full of food crumbs.

I hunt in very sandy areas, so it HAVE to take mine apart if the wind blows, gun touches ground, I touch gun after I touch ground.....etc.  But man it's worth it when there are literally hundreds of birds on a section.
