i am a true 870 man. but after wife and i had baby this week i wanted to do something special for a friend that has helped out . he has old mossberg 500a that i am going to turkeyize for him. any recomendations on choke \shell combo on this gun?

I set one up for the wife and found the Indian Creek .660 to perform very well. She is shooting 2.75" #6 Winchester XRHD and it also patterned 3" #6 Winchester XRHD very well.

a .660 thru .670 is a great choice for the 500. i would also recommend H13 3" 2oz #6's or #7's

THANKS FOR GOOD INFO! PICKED UP JELLY HEAD AND 3'' H13 6 AND WIN ER 6. TO THE PATTERN BOARD AFTER PAINT DRIES.

THANKS , WHICH 670 CHOKE DID IT LIKE THE BEST. WHICH SHELL WITH THE 670 HAD BEST RESULTS?

pure gold-.670 with hevi-no.6 you will be more than happy with this combo
