Title: Patterned the Mossy today.
Post by: mossybird on February 17, 2011, 07:31:43 PM
Hey patterned the Mossberg 535 today. Done with Winchester High Velocity 3.5" 2oz #6s. Ran outta 30"x30" paper so I taped some computer paper up :)

How much will polishing the barrel help?

Very nice pattern-certainly a killing one.  IMHO a polishing job is a no brainer. I did my 835 in 3 hours and cost me only $7 (for a 12ga bore brush and some scotch brite pads). The difference is noticeable. If you want longer range kills consider mag blends and maybe an after market choke. Monday morning in 20 degree weather my 835 with a PG670 put 162 mag blends in a 10" circle-at 50 yards.
