I finally got out and went turkey huntin today. Joey and I went to a spot where he killed a turkey last spring. We heard several turkeys gobble before daylight but they were a long ways. We decided to head that way and we finally got into a turkey that would gobble every so often. We set up but got no response with anything. I knew we were dealing with a gobbler flock. I finally told Joey to go kill one and/or bust them up. I stayed back with the camera and he headed towards where we last heard the turkey gobble. He just went to the right a little too much because 15 Minutes later a coyote came in behind me and took off in the direction of where we heard the turkeys. Joey heard the gobblers putt and watched as the coyote ran 2 big swingers off to another world. We made our way back and when we got to the truck we spotted a young gobber. Joey put the sneak on him and killed his 38th turkey. These young birds were kee keeing and gobbling. It was really nice fall turkey sounds. They loved my Corian tube call.
