Title: Walmart Black Friday Plano Gun Case
Post by: Old Gobbler on November 18, 2011, 11:33:14 PM
Guys keep your eyes peeled for this Black Friday sale -

It looks like plano has a special offer at Walmart on Black Friday for 36" case $30 and it usually goes for over $100, that looks awfully like a pelican, and  even has a 0-ring too -

This might be big enough if you break down a turkey gun to fit in / AR-/or pistol grip shot gun - and it looks tough enough for airport use.

I am not sure of the regional availability of this item , but it looks like a store only 8am sale

Shannon, if it will survive air travel its bomb proof. Gun cases are no different to them folks than throwing horseshoes. I've seen some high grade cases get beat to death.  :icon_thumright:

Jim , your right the baggage handlers have a reputation for being very tough on cases - I was loaned a aluminum gun case to go to South Dakota - and sure enough it was beat to death , on its maiden voyage - I was told you only get so many trips out of a case before its time to replace it -

I am thinking of a compact one like this because it is smaller and less likely to get left behind due to not being bulky - Several times I have heard of hunting trips partially ruined due to bulky bow or gun cases being left behind  - I am also looking to dodge oversize airline charges

I hope this case is durable , if it is I will buy a couple of them
