Sanding, chalk, burning?
120 sand paper ,,good to go ,, or sand stone rock in the woods if iam in a pickle .
Usually Scotch Brite for me.

A good scrub on scotch brite is all I have ever needed.

A light scuff with whatever sandpaper I have handy.
220 grit sandpaper
Scotch brite
sand paper or scotch
Sandpaper.. Twist it do not scrub across it can alter the angle of the striker.. IME Scotch brite has always polished the tip instead of giving grip
I burnish the end of the striker on a piece of glass
