I've been wanting an AR for some time for yotes and playing around. With my wife in school I just can't spend $1000-$1500 on a gun now. I also have a 7 year old who I plan to turn loose with a deer rifle next year. A friend of mine is selling his Howa 22-250. The gun is practically brand new, with a 2 lb. sweet trigger. It is full camo, barrel and all and can be had for $450. This would be an awesome little gun for the yotes, and I could get a youth model stock for my son to shoot it. I don't know a lot about Howas, are they very accurate?? I forgot to mention it comes with a cheap scope.
If you want an accurate rifle you should jump on that. Those are awesome rifles and that is a really good price.
Howa makes some of the barrels for the Weatherbys. My BIL shoots a Howa 30 06 .Nice rifle.
I bought it, but I just haven't picked it up yet. Thinking of trying some Hornady Superformance Varmitt ammo for coyotes.

When Weatherbys were made in Japan, Howa made them. They still make the Weatherby Vanguard which is the same rifle as the Howa 1500 with a few cosmetic touches.
Good rifles, Howa makes the Vanguard for Weatherby.
