I know this has been kicked around for years but it seems to make so much sense to have one in the summer in the North. It would not interfere with Unicoi as it's held in January in Georgia. Would be a great way for the southern callmakers to escape the heat and humidity of the south for a few days and all the callmakers in the NE and the rest of the country to attend. My vision is of June in the Hocking Hills of Ohio as the Unicoi of the North. I believe the fire is still burning in June for most of us.
Now, one of you guys make it happen! ;)

There was a NWTF sanctioned call maker gathering at Turkey Trot Acres held annually every August, but that ended with COVID if I recall.
Great idea. I do believe COVID killed the one at Turkey Trot. That was a good show.

Turkey Trot was a lot of fun the 3 years that I was able to make it there. And Yes, having something again up north would be allot of fun I am sure. However, as I am sure the organizers of the Unicoi Call Makers Show can attest to, (God bless them all for there work, and we all thank you), there is a lot of work and preparation that needs to be set in place to make things happen and flow.
I seem to remember a movie "Build it and they will Come" and I do think that if it's in the right place and at the right time of the year that in can happen and be a fun time for everyone who comes to enjoy the gathering.
Would be awesome! That has also been brought up on facebook.

I agree it's a lot of work. The year I attended he was doing the Callmakers Summit on day one and an NWTF Lobster Bash and Banquet on day two. I attended both and the Bash/Banquet had to be way more work than the Callmakers Summit. I believe the Summit would be less involved than the weddings that Pete and Sherry host.
