Long story short I'm headed north of the border this May to get in one last hunt. Ontario regulations say #7 shot or larger. Is this actually enforced or do the wardens up there have enough sense to know #9 tss is more than capable? I know back when a few states we hunted had those rules nobody ever asked the question. Not really interested in loading up any 7's but will if it's strictly enforced. Thanks for any replies.
Having dealt with Canadian game wardens on a fly in fishing trip, I would follow the rules exactly. They checked our camp and boats for daily and possession limits. We were 200 miles from the nearest road and only camp on the lake. They came in by float plane.
Canadian CO's are very much by the book.
Understand. Thanks guys for the response.
Isn't a 9 upside down a 6
I guess it depends on how far you went in school or how much you had to drink.
I know the difference because I'm Edgeamacated seeing how I went through 6th grade 3 times!
I can tell you getting strip searched in Canada is no fun.
Crow and Tal standing on the side of a Canadian road, butt naked while getting strip searched.
That's a Kodak Moment.
Oh Gawd! That's a vision I wont be able to get out of my head.
Lord help me, please!

If your referring to that North Woods Law incident, I'm sure the statutes of limitations has kicked in by now
What goes on in the woods, stays in the woods.
If you hand load your shells, I'm pretty sure you can get around with it very easily... Just load 9's in some factory looking 7's or greater shell and how could they know... Anyways, will you really be checked by someone...?
I wouldn't expect anything less from the two of you!
I'll check Amazon to see if I can pick up a few of those fake glasses, nose and mustache combos in the hopes the two of you can cross the Canadian boarder
unscathed. Add a wool hat and a bandanna and we got Cheech and Chong going turkey hunting!

That's kinda what I was thinking. Surely they won't be cutting open shells just to check shot size

No they won't, and I doubt you'll be even checked by someone...
Just out of curiosity but how do you plan your trip? Are you using a guide or an outfiter?
