Anybody shooting a Benelli Nova 20ga? Wandering about the good & bad.
I had one (20ga Compact model). Although it threw a great pattern (with a Sumtoy .662 & Fed. TSS 9's), the issue was that no matter how much I tightened the magazine tube cap, I could still twist the barrel back and forth a bit (shifting the front sight). I also observed this on a new display gun. Sample of two? My older 12ga Super Nova I had back in the day never did that. That's my experience.
Thanks for the response. I've heard there were some issues.
No problem. I think the most common gripe you might hear about those guns is the loose/rattling forend.
Unsure about the 20 but I have a 12 with Steadygrip. had barrel shortened to 20" and love the gun. Forearm has a little rattle, but I don't believe that is a fault.
Triggers can be a little heavy, but they can be lightened. I had mine lightened to just a little over 4lb and it is great now. I do run a Scalarworks mount and Holosun on gun also.

Did you have your receiver drilled and tapped? How did that go?
Receiver came Drilled/Tapped from factory as it is a Turkey Specific Steady Grip model. Being the factory offered that I would assume that it could be done on any model but unsure? I would give Mr. Steve Rose a call and ask him as he is an excellent gunsmith. RAS Rose Action Sports.

Thanks for the info.
I wound up sending mine directly to benelli to do. It's cheaper than the local gunsmiths
I had no idea Benelli would do it. Thanks
