What was everyone's most productive call this season?
My Sinclair titanium pot over glass was most productive for me.

Ike Ashby call i brought out of retirement for one last ride.
SS Redheart and Holly scratcher. Call is deadly and prob one of my top calls every spring, Also a SS Redheart and poplar longbox, was real consistent. Mouth calls would be but I kept changing as I was checking effectiveness of the calls so I don't consider that one particular call
About split even between a suction yelper, Jake yelps and gobbling on Tom Osmer tube call and Lightning Strike Alaskan yellow cedar longbox/ Billy Bush Begging Machine
WF Hegler trumpet and EZ wingbone.
Buster rep slate.
Buice 5.5" koa
Most productive was my Inzer trumpet as it was involved in both kills and exclusively on the second.
Trumpet, McGraw diaphragm, and OG pushpin..
Billy Buice Brazilian Rosewood 5-1/2" call with a number 3 mammoth ivory mouthpiece and a Southland Walnut Slate using a hickory striker.

I almost exclusively use a handful of rag-tag mouth calls that I make myself. They almost invariably get the job done for me and my general attitude is one of..."if they won't respond to my mouth calls, they probably aren't going to respond to anything."
However, twice this spring, I was getting no response with my mouth calls in an area I knew had gobblers close by. On one occasion, a buddy I was with that exclusively uses a box call got a group of gobblers going...and they came right in when I was getting nothing with my calls.
On the second occasion, I switched to a slate-surface pot when I was not getting a response when I also knew there were gobblers nearby...and they immediately started responding...and I eventually got one of them.
Being the "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" sort of guy, I will probably just stick with my mouth calls...but there MIGHT be times when I say to myself..."Maybe you should wise-up and try something different". ...Probably won't listen very often, though... ;D :toothy12:
One I called in on a mouth call. One almost had in till a hen took him away was a mouth call. Numerous hens came in on a box and slate. Thats all folks!

Turkeys don't stand a chance with that lineup. Great set of calls.
Same as usual, diaphragm and a trumpet or a wingbone.
H.S. strut box "The natural"
SSCustom maple/butternut longbox, SSCustom scratcher, and my hen wingbone.
Mann cedar and poplar long box, Lonzo slate, Buster's glass and Mann poplar an walnut box
wow, alot of box calls here..
awesome!
Based on the craws of a lot of birds I kill, regardless of state/location, the preferred call of the "hunters" on the neighboring properties must be the Moultrie Spin Cast. It's really getting infuriating.
I called one in for my cousin by using a Capri-Sun straw...no joke .

Those 2 longbox call makers can fit a bunch of turkeys into 1 call

I worked on my mouth calling this year before season. I had gotten a bit out of tune and lost a little confidence in them the past couple of seasons. My efforts paid off handsomely this spring I think. I have the confidence in my mouth calling back.
My New Ken Woods Gibson/ walnut Box + Applewood Paddle.
Called my 2nd 2025/ New Jersey Gobbler in with that Awesome Gibson Box!
In New York, I Doubled up with a Friend on 2 Big Jakes. Again- that Ken Woods Gibson Box.
Ended the Season with 2 New Jersey Public Gobblers and 1 New York Jake.
Whatever Greg Massey used is the best! LOL
Hot Hen Slate.
Usually, I'm always mixing it up between two calls.
One is always a home made diaphragm. Just a plain combo cut.
Halloran ceramic, Wing bone, Mountainside scratch box. A combo Mountainside Glass/slate. These were all good for me this season.
I usually close them out with my mouth call. (sometimes) :funnyturkey:

That Honduras rosewood is one of my favorite JLH strikers. He recommends it for glass/crystal but I find it plays great on about anything.

I tend to like all of jlh stuff....some more than others and honestly depends on my mood that day
A trumpet and a glass over slate two sider, with the trumpet pulling in the most.
GooserBat mouth call from the seconds bags he sells, and the DES trumpet as well as the Ricky Padgett trumpet I sold. The OG pushpin pulled one in as well.

Pinhole Grey Ghost was there when most died. Jeremy Simpson trumpet completely changed the hunt for a few.
Old school Primos Limb Hanger mouth yelper was the kiss of death this Spring. "Wits" and soft whines proved deadly on more than one National and State Forest gobblers.
Rough calling season for me and can't say any worked better than others.
Used homemade wingbone, slate, copper and glass along with others slate and mouth calls.
Pretty sure I sucked at them all this Spring!!
Scooter Pegg canarywood raw aluminum with an ipe striker. Also a batwing cut diaphragm.
